Skater skirts are a staple. They give the illusion of the coveted hourglass figure. Skater skirts come in so many different colours, patterns and textures these days. Here are my looks based around skater skirts.

In this outfit, I played with a neutral grey base outfit and added a pop of colour at my feet. The pop of colour makes any boring outfit a whole lot more exciting. It also creates one focal point of your outfit. Crop tops work perfectly with skater skirts because the skirts are normally high waisted, it also allows you to flash a little bit of midriff (but not too much).

Colour-blocking is the theme for this outfit. The bold colour of the skirt is counteracted by the more subdued colour of the crop top. I choose a more neutral pair of shoes, to balance the colours. A great casual outfit.

This look is a very "vampy" look, this is due to the burgundy skirt and the overall darker tone of the outfit. I'd wear this outfit out for dinner or even a night out. I love the clash of patterns and textures.

This outfit is perfect for a first date, a picnic with friends or just as an everyday outfit. The boxy shape of the crop top is juxtaposed by the flippy skater skirt. This denim skater skirt is one of my staples because it is so versatile.
